Freeze a hold:

Use the FREEZE function when you are not ready to pick up an item. A frozen hold will continue to move up the holdlist for that title but it will not be delivered until you unfreeze it. You cannot freeze a hold if your item on hold is in transit or ready to pick up.
  1. Click in the box under FREEZE on the right (see image below).
  2. Click "UPDATE LIST".
  3. If there is no box to check, you cannot freeze that hold.

Unfreeze a hold

When you are ready to receive holds again, you must unfreeze the hold. After a hold is unfrozen, check to see if copies of the item now show "CHECK SHELF" in the catalog. If so, please call the Circulation Desk at 805-449-2660, Option 6. For Newbury Park Branch Library, please call 805-498-2139, Option 6.
  1. Click in the box under FREEZE on the right to remove the check mark.
  2. Click "UPDATE LIST".
  3. This will unfreeze and reactivate the hold.

As a courtesy to other customers who may be waiting for items that are on hold, please cancel any items you have requested that you no longer need.
  1. Click in the box in the CANCEL column to the left of the item you want to cancel (see image above).
